"You will always be lucky if you know how to make friends with strange cats." - Colonial Proverb
Cat Defence volunteers work from their own homes. We raise our own funds. We cannot compete with large organisations like the RSPCA that have their own facilities and vets. Hence, it will probably cost you more to adopt a kitten under 3 months of age from us. We can at times provide discounted desexing for our kittens, however this will depend on where you live. You can also contact the National Desexing Network, www.ndn.org.au, which can advise of vets in your area that can offer discounted desexing. If you are interested in rescuing a cat or kitten that has been saved from a life as a stray or death in a pound contact us.
Grown cats are desexed as soon as they are rescued by us. All our felines come with a trial period.

We currently have no kittens available through our website or petrescue. We have several grown cats listed on this page as well as more on petrescue.
Urgent foster carers or new homes needed for cats that were left behind when the owners moved. They are approximately 2 years old, tame, litter trained and desexed. We will microchip and vaccinate prior to adoption or temporary care. Contact Susan 0403 836 443 or Lynn 9631 8126.
Cat
Defence Network does not have a shelter where we can keep cats till they can be
rehoused. We rely on the goodwill of other cat lovers to assist us.
